Trombonist

Already at the age of 15 years, David Bruchez-Lalli received his first professional engagement at the Opéra de Lausanne. He was the first brass, who reached the final of «Eurovision Young musicians» 1994 in Warsaw.

He is the laureate of the «Concours d ‘Exécution Musicale de Genève», the «Tribune Internationale des Jeunes musiciens, UNESCO» in Bratislava and the Swiss youth music competition. He was also a fellow of the Ernst Göhner Foundation and of the Kiefer-Halblitzel.

After graduating with soloist’s diploma at the «Conservatoire de Musique» in Lausanne, he went to Berlin, where he played at the Herbert von Karajan Academy with the Berlin Philharmonic and established first contacts with Claudio Abbado.

He performed as a soloist with the following orchestras, among others: Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, National Orchestra of Warsaw, Kremerata Baltica, Kammerakademie Potsdam, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Lausanne Sinfonietta, Symphony Orchestra Basel, Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra, Camerata St. Petersburg and the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra.

His repertoire is broad, and includes works from the Renaissance to today’s music. He performs music of the Renaissance with his own ensemble «Aura Consort» on original instruments.
